This
case study explores various aspects of contractor-led design-build project
delivery. The owner
hires a contractor to design and build a combined warehouse and office
building. To provide
the design, the contractor hires an architect to design the office building and
separately hires
a firm specializing in pre-engineered metal buildings for the warehouse.
Selection of team partners
and analysis of various design and construction alternatives are analyzed.
